Why do you support The Camden Clean Air Initiative?
At Elavon Europe, we aim to give back to the communities we operate in, and encourage our employees to do the same. Giving each of our employees in the wider U.S. Bank family 16 hours paid volunteer time each year is just one way we do this. We’ve also recently announced several company-wide commitments to address the impact of climate change, such as sourcing 100% renewable electricity within our operations by 2025, and achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
The opportunity to be involved in a green initiative so close to home really appealed to us and where we assist and learn to improve ourselves were definitive factors in getting involved.
What are your plans for being involved?
Our plans are to promote the initiative through internal and external channels, such as social media, emails, messaging boards and more to produce content that supports the vision. We aim to be involved with work relating to the initiative spreading it’s word and good message where we can.
What do you love most about Camden?
What we love most about Camden? The community spirit. People get behind their own, whether it’s local artists or small businesses. Being involved in one’s community is a core value of ours and Camden has that in spades.
