Company Description

The Camden Clean Air Initiative is a not-for-profit action group aiming to reduce air pollution across the Borough of Camden. We work with households, workplaces, schools, and hospitality businesses to provide support and resources to help them make a positive difference. We also work on borough-wide projects to create long-lasting, impacting change. We aim to see Camden become a centre of excellence for clean air and Greentech.  

Primary Responsibilities

  • Sign up 100 people to The Camden Clean Air Cycle  
  • Sign up 5 schools to Camden Clean Air  
  • Sign up 25 households to Camden Clean Air  
  • Sign up 10 workplaces to Camden Clean Air  
  • Sign up 5 hospitality businesses to Camden Clean Air 
  • Work through sign up process for each new memberMaintain Community Coffee Project  
  • Work with existing members by engaging them in projects, updating with new resources, keeping check on what they are doing, updating calendar, signing up to workshops and more 
  • Promote No Car Tuesday 
  • Keep welcome packs up to date and make changes when necessary for example adding in new projects or discounts  
  • Keep database up to date  
  • Propose new ideas to Programme Manager based on community feedback 
  • Weekly Monday morning meeting 09:30 – 10  
  • Weekly Friday meeting 11:00 – 12:00 
  • Monthly review to assess progress 

Person Specification

KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience of working with one or more of the following; community, local council, businesses, schools 
  • High level of written and spoken English   
  • Good knowledge of the air pollution crisis and situation in the Borough of Camden  
  • Good knowledge of the Borough of Camden  
  • Experience leading a project independently
